Last week’s On the Way session brought together around 15 thoughtful participants for a rich and inspiring discussion—exploring how faith, finance, and justice intersect to solve the global water crisis.
Grounded in Matthew 25 and the Gospel call to serve “the least of these,” Ludo (who was also celebratin his birthday) offered a powerful response to the evening’s discussion themes. decisions.
Group Discussion Highlights:
Q1: What’s the greatest challenge in financing water projects?
• Lack of education on the value of water
• Fragmented stakeholders and missing coordination
• Conflicting incentives—profit vs. human rights
Q2: What could a game-changing solution look like?
• Raising public awareness through social media
• Incentivising investment (e.g. tax breaks)
• Water as a right—not a commodity or weapon
🎥 Film Recommendation: Don’t Look Up (2021)

💡 Solutions: innovation financing mechanisms such as Water Impact Bonds, micro-franchising, faith-based finance, etc.
